social event
so there's social event happening tonight, and i feel compelled to go because i think that's what a person in my position should do. get to know my peers and network and such. except that never really pays off, and i don't want to go for obvious reasons. i can't tell the line between stepping out of comfort zone for my sake or just following social convention like a puppet i am.
